On the 2nd of November 1830, ten members of the infamous Ribbon Gang were publicly hanged for murder, bushranging and horse thieving. This was the first ever public hanging in Bathurst. Dead Man's Gold has a lighter flavour profile than its predecessor, Dead Man's Drop, and is spiced with Macadamia Nut, Cascara and Vanilla, with a moderate sweetness level.

2 part Stone Pine 'Dead Man's Gold'

2 dashes bitters

1 cube sugar

Garnish: Orange peel

Combine all the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir to combine and chill. Strain over a large ice cube in a double Old Fashioned glass. Twist an orange or lemon peel over the drink to release the oils, then use as a garnish.
